Four Months!

My sweet little boy is FOUR months already! How is that even possible??? He has added so much joy to our lives. He's a wonderful baby, and I'd have a dozen more if they were all like him (and if I were rich!)!!

He had his four month appointment this week and he's doing great! He's nice and healthy and growing perfectly, right on track! He got two shots, and hardly even cried! Little tough guy!

Here are a comparison of all three boys stats from birth until four months. My goodness, Cameron was a beast! He was huge! He's STILL huge, but when you look at it like this, it's very eye opening to how big he truly was!

Rollin, rollin, rollin...

Peyton has figured out how to roll over...I have yet to see it though!

He sleeps on his belly and TWICE last night (at 2am and 5am), I woke up to him crying. So, I go to get him out of bed to feed him and realize he's on his back! Little rascal woke himself up rolling over and wouldn't go back to sleep!

Hopefully this isn't a new trend...not sure I can handle him waking up like this again! I've gotten spoiled with him sleeping thru the night!!

And hopefully soon I'll catch it on camera!

Ice Skating

We've decided to get Will involved in some activities. The first being ice skating. It's actually a learn to skate class and then he'll be able to play hockey. It's an 8-week class and he'll get tested at the end.

He seems to enjoy it. He falls and gets right back up! I can't wait to see how he progresses!

He's discoverd his thumb...

So, my dear sweet child has discovered his thumb! While I do think it's cute, I'm not sure I like it very much! Will or Cameron never even took a pacifier, much less sucked their thumbs, so this is totally new territory for me! Even when I try and take it out, it always finds it's way back!

BUT, I have to admit, it has been a really good soothing tool for him. Take today, for instance: I guess I heard a little peep around 4am this morning, so before he could cry and wake the other two, I went into his room, and he's just laying there, wide awake, sucking his thumb! Usually, by 4 or 5 when he wakes up, he's starving and crying and ready for me to come get him...NOW! And then, during his morning nap, I heard him crying a little bit, but waited on going to get him in hopes he'd go back to sleep. So, like 20 minutes later, I went in his room to check on him, and there he is again, wide awake, sucking on his thumb! He totally soothed himself with his thumb!

I can't help but wonder: if he weren't the third child or didn't have two very demanding older brothers, would he still be a thumb sucker? Sometimes I think he doesn't quite get the attention that he needs because of Will and Cameron, so he's gotta find other ways to soothe himself since I can't always get to him right away! I guess it's good and bad!

We can only hope that he doesn't suck it forever and as he gets older will decide he doesn't need it anymore!! Fingers are crossed!! Until then, I guess I'll just have to deal with my sweet little thumb sucker!

Here are some pics!
