I don't think I've ever heard Peyton laugh THIS hard! I kept startling him and bumping his high chair and he was laughing so hard, I had to catch it on video! And thankfully he kept doing it for the camera!
Finally! It only took 8 months!!! He will still get into the "tri-pod" position, but he's definitely sitting up more than leaning forward!
I guess he was just really content laying on his back! I kept trying to tell him that the view of the world is WAY better sitting up, instead of looking at the ceiling!
My doctor has a theory. He says that if you double the age they are when they sit up unassisted, that's when they'll generally walk. I've asked quite a few of my friends and it's tested true for them. I don't remember exact ages when Will and Cam sat up, but they both walked between 10 and 11 months. So, in theory, they sat up between 5 and 6 months. Which is quite possible. They both did everything early. I do know they weren't 8 months though! But, that's ok...I'm totally ok with him not walking until 16 months! Although, I doubt that will be the case. He's going to want to keep up with his brothers!
It's also hard for me to imagine him walking in two months, like the other two did. He still seems like such a baby to me. I mean, I know he is, but it's just hard to believe that Will and Cam were crawling, pulling up and getting ready to walk by this time. Crazy, crazy!
…in the backyard! We were supposed to go to visit my parents this weekend, but the river that they live on is majorly flooded, so we decided we would go buy a tent and camp out in the backyard this weekend!! The tent The boys absolutely LOVED it! Oh my goodness!! At 7:00, Will was asking if we could go to bed! Haha! It wasn’t even dark yet! We brought the laptop out there and watched Madagascar 2. I know, I know…not “true” camping, but they were loving it!
We'll definitely be doing it again! But next time, Todd and I are using an air mattress...we're too old to be sleeping on the ground!!
Todd found out about this little diner called Mary's in Strawn, Texas that supposedly has the best chicken fried steak in Texas. It's about an hour and a half west of us. So, what better way to spend a Saturday afternoon then take a road trip for some chicken fried steak!
Mary's did not disappoint! It probably was some of the best CFS I've ever had. Mary's is a little whole in the wall. Everything is made to order, so no heat lamps, and depending on what you order, it might take awhile. Mary also makes all her employees sign a legal document stating they will never reveal the batter of the CFS! It's that good! And the gravy is made with the drippings...OMG! The ONLY complaint I would have (and it's more of a personal preference) is they don't serve mashed potatoes. I like my CFS with mashed potatoes! But, you could get a baked potato or french fries. We opted for the fries and wow, awesome fries! Especially when we dipped them in the gravy!!
We had heard the portions were HUGE! Todd had already said that we're both ordering the large, that way we can have leftovers. Large was an understatement:
As soon as she brought it out, we asked for two to-go boxes and we both ended up putting 3/4 of our meal into the box!
Will and Cameron each at a foot-long corn dog (it may have been longer)!!
We had a good time! And will more than likely go back...when we've got a whole day to spare! Peyton was able to enjoy a few french fries (I didn't get pics of it though)
Peyton LOVES his bottles! And I like to tease him with them just to see his reaction! He practically wants to jump out of his chair to get the bottle!!
I don't know what it is about this ball that he doesn't like, but he does not like it AT ALL! It's spikey and rubbery and squishy. You can totally see in his face how much he doesn't like it! I'm so mean...haha!!
Happy Mother's Day to my fellow Mommy's! I hope everyone had a great day!
Today was a good day! I got TWO cards from my Boys! One from my little boys, which Will signed his and his brothers' names and one from my big boy (lol)!! And they got me a gift card for my favorite store, Ann Taylor Loft.
Todd's Mom came down and we all went to breakfast, it was delish! And then I got to go shopping, all by myself! Woohoo! We then went to Todd's grandmother's for dinner. She totally loves seeing those boys and they get so excited to see her! I think it really makes her day when we go visit.
I'm so thankful and lucky to have three of the best kids in the world! And, I'm so thankful to have such a wonderful husband who is so supportive and thinks I'm the best Mom ever! Will, Cameron and Peyton make me want to be a better Mom and even when times get tough, I know I'll always have their unconditional love and that makes it all so worth it!
Thank you to my FOUR favorite boys!! I love you guys!!!
Here are some pictures of the boys over the past few weeks! I've been terrible with the camera and have been slacking on my picture taking!
Will and Peyton - silly Will!
BIG bite out of the apple!
Mommy and Will!
Cameron looks like he's doing a commercial for chicken!! LOL!
Mommy and Cameron
Do you notice anything out of place in this picture? I walked in on him and said "What are you doing, Cameron?" and he said "I not doing nuffin, Mommy!" Hmmm...he just LOOKS guilty, you know with the scoop IN his hand!! Crazy kid!
Todd and I went to Vegas to celebrate his 40th Birthday!! We had a BLAST!! And didn't lose ALL of our money! That's always a good thing!!
We honestly didn't do much of anything! It was nice to just hang out and relax! We saw a show Sunday night and it was SOO good!! We walked the strip the first day we were there.
Even saw an Elvis impersonator on the street! He's a little too thin though...must be that desert heat!
We had an AWESOME dinner that night, and I drank a margarita that was so strong, it had me passed out by 8:00! Really. I sure did need that sleep though!!
I was ready to go bright and early the next day! We hung out at The Mirage's pool one day and actually got sun burned. The desert sun gets you good!
I definitely was not ready to come home, but Vegas does get a bit old after too many days there. I felt like I needed a vacation from my vacation though!! I still don't think I've caught up on my sleep!!
I'm LeAnn, Mommy to 3 boys and married to Todd, my wonderful husband!
I work full-time outside of the home and life gets C-R-A-Z-Y!
Our firstborn, Will, is five years. He started kindergarten this year and loves it! He's also in soccer and seems to enjoy that also!
Cameron is our middle kiddo. He's three years old and your typical middle child! Wow!
And Peyton is our sweet baby! He is one and has completed our family!
Enjoy reading about our crazy, chaotic life!!
